SULTANO CHICKPEA
Poggio Aquilone’s Organic Sultano Chickpea is peculiar for
its small, flavourful seed.
It cooks in a short time. Cooking time approx 1h 30 min.
SKINNED CHICKPEAS
Possibly the oldest of the pulses used by man in his diet, chickpeas may well be the pulse that is digested most easily. This makes it ideal for use in child nutrition. Skinned chickpeas have greatly reduced soaking and cooking times.

LENTILS
Poggio Aquilone’s Organic Lentil stands out for its small seed
and sparkling colours.

SKINNED LENTILS
Rich in vitamin B and effective in treating conditions of an anemic nature and exhaustion, these lentil kernels come without their skin, thus taking much less time to cook.
Ideal for use in soups, velvet sauces, broths and flavourful side dishes.

CHICKLING “CICERCHIA”
The Cicerchia is a grain legume and comes from an annual herbaceous
plant, quite similar to the chickpea plant. Its origin is very
old and comes from the Middle East.

SKINNED CHICKLING
Typical for central Italy, chickling is a pulse that is very high in protein and rich in dietary fibre. As its name suggests, the chickling comes without its skin, thus greatly reducing soaking and cooking times.

“BORLOTTO” BEANS
Poggio Aquilone biological farm produces a “Borlotto” bean
which with its high contribution of proteins and carbohydrates
it is ideal to be used mainly with pasta and minestrone dishes,
perfect if served with red wines.

BLACK BEANS
Poggio Aquilone’s organic Black Bean is a rustic variety suitable
for italian-style soups (zuppe).

“CANNELLINO” BEANS
Poggio Aquilone biological farm produces a hite-bean “Cannellino”
having a real delicate taste which is simply perfect to be used
as side dish and on vegetable soup too.

SOUP VEGETABLES AND CEREALS
Poggio Aquilone's Organic Zuppa includes a mix of broken spelt,
pearled barley, broken peas, lentils, and red lentils. No soaking
needed before cooking.

FANTASY SOUP MIX
This is a mix of pulses, chickpeas, chickling, lentils and split peas, all skinned. As all the ingredients come without their skins, soaking and cooking times are much reduced.
